NUR ALISS ALISHA

Hi , Madam. My name is Aliss. This week marks the beginning of my journey in the LCC113 course, English for Communication.  During the first class, our lecturer introduced the course outline, learning outcomes, and assessment methods. I learned that this course is not only about grammar or vocabulary, but also about improving how we communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.

In the second week, we learned about communication skills and the elements that make communication effective. We are doing some activity that can strengthen our realationship between students and lecturer. Last week, we  were instructed to do an activity by giving the word while creating a style for other students to follow. Sometimes, I realize I get nervous when speaking in front of others, and that affects my tone and eye contact. I learned that by staying calm and being aware of my body language, I can make my message clearer and more confident.

What I can apply to my daily life is to practice good eye contact, listen actively, and speak politely. These skills will not only help me in class discussions but also in my future workplace. This lesson taught me that good communication builds understanding and respect between people.
